QUOTE:
1. Drunk -tweeting, -texting, -Instagramming, etc.
Long gone are the days when the only witnesses to your inebriated ramblings were other bar patrons who also saw you stumble from your bar stool to the ground. Whether you're able to keep it together with spelling and syntax (in which case, you've just got the world going, "Wait, she wants to do WHAT to Paul Ryan?!"), or your typing skills erode quickly, alcohol and mobile devices don't mix.
RESPONSE: I agree completely. I absolutely hate when people call me or text me and they're drunk or something. That sound ignorant and the texts are just annoying. And people that take pictures of them drunk are stupid.. Like they don't look cool if that's what they think. I have friends like get completely trashed and they'll call me and ask me to pick them up or something because they're sick. Um, no thank you. You chose to do it and I'm not taking the fall for it. Sometimes if they text me, and their words are all messed up, I don't believe they're actually drunk because anyone can pretend over text, like its not that hard. Plus when you mix alcohol, texting, and driving, that's just a disaster waiting to happen.
I agree with this, people are just looking for trouble when they do this, and all they do is try and blame it on the alcohol.
ReplyDeleteI agree with what you said. People can ruin so many relationships by drunk texting. People should turn off their phones before they drink.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. Being drunk and letting everyone know isn't cool. Cause first of all your not even of age or at least most of the people aren't. So you could get into trouble just by doing something like that.
ReplyDeleteAs an adult, this is a major concern I have for my students. I know that some people like to brag that they are drinking, or drunk, and while I don't completely disagree with underage consumption, I do worry that the pictures these kids are taking will someday come back to haunt them. At 18, you have no idea where your life is going. You may have an idea, but it could completely change by the time you're 30. If there are digital pictures of you with a drink in your hand at 18, those could stand in the way of becoming something amazing. We don't see pictures of presidents from their teenage years at parties. Not because those men didn't party as kids. Chances are they just controlled their image a bit better. Image is everything and the only person who will protect yours is you.
